Special announcement—a brand new edition of hand lettered garden markers is coming to Jaded Studios very soon! 🎉
Wow oh wow, am I excited!!! I am hoping you can’t hear me squealing all the way over there (or can you?). 😊 But, there are simply so many squeals happening over here, as I have been sitting on this new release-to-be for a while.
If you recall, I hinted in my New Year’s post that verrrrrrry soon, I would be able to share more details about a new, modified edition of my bestselling plant labels—and today is that day!
Hello and happy Friday! It’s getting to be that holiday time of year…can you feel it?
I am a lover of the holidays, but not the holiday stress…as I’m sure you are too! 😊 Part of what I love about the holidays is a lot of the cheer that runs around, so I’ve been making a bunch of holiday gifts with that in mind for the people in my life, as well as a few custom ornament orders. I was even getting into full holiday mood with “Santa Baby” playing through my head…and then it hit me—I really should just share these custom holiday goodies as an option in the shop!
It’s that time of year…the holidays are coming, the joy is high (though this year, there’s a lot of stress in the mix, too, eek!). But, it’s still a perfect and likely necessary time to pause and reflect on what we’re grateful for, don’t you think?
So, first and foremost, I want to say THANK YOU for being part of my journey. I am honored and delighted to get to make pretty things for wonderful people, whether it be for a gift you’re giving or a gift just for you. It makes me so darn happy to get to combine lettering and painting into something that will bring you a smile! 😊
That’s the main reason I decided to run a Black Friday Weekend sale this year
You may have caught on, that while I’m forever loyal to the people and things I love, in the “things” realm, this means that I struggle with “picking just one thing.”
I’m sure this deliberation is not unusual for many artists, as we are often encouraged to pick a niche and stay there. The problem is—and perhaps it’s the roaring Gemini in me—I simply can’t pick just one.
Today is a very exciting day for me! Not only am I counting down to the release of my new Galaxy Collection on October 13th, but today is the sneak peek I’ve been dying to show you… A whole new and larger format watercolor galaxy—on a huge wood slice!
As you may have caught on, I have a thing for wood slices. My journey into galaxy painting lasted about half a second on paper before I became obsessed with painting on wood slices. I guess it’s safe to say it all started when I took my first watercolor class, and my brilliant teacher gave a walk through of mediums (aka nifty things that help you paint with watercolor). She mentioned watercolor ground, a paste-like substance you can apply to non-watercolor-paper surfaces to create watercolor absorbency.
