I am so excited to officially be sharing this new home of mine with you! Here you will find the full selection of my hand lettered, calligraphy, and watercolor gifts, cards, and personalized treasures—but you’ll also find out about my custom services, favorite materials, formation of (and even ideas that lead to) products, as well as a bounty of behind-the-scenes business antics.

What does that even mean, Jade?

See, running your own craft and hand lettering business out of your home—or perhaps I should be more specific and say one’s 700 square foot apartment—is sure to include many antics, a lot of work, possibly a little blood (on a very bad day), and for sure sweat and tears. But mostly, a ton of joy, and yes, antics and shenanigans. 😊  So, hopefully, you’ll get a good laugh around here at those times, and if nothing else, some interesting information!

For those of you completely new to Jaded Studios, welcome and hello! I love people, and getting to work with people, so I am delighted to meet you and I hope you find something you like around here! I love to letter and make people smile—and if I get to do both, I consider that a super win. I should also note that I am a bit of a ham sometimes (you’ve been warned), and I do drop naughty language from time to time(I’ll try to be good, but I can’t promise!). Regardless, something I CAN guarantee is that every one of the items you’ll find here at Jaded Studios is made with a heart full of love…albeit it an occasionally jaded one. 😉 Sugar, spice, and everything nice is the name of the game with all my creations, and so throughout this shop, you can expect to see a whole lot of sugar and a good dash of spice!

I’ll be popping up here a couple times a month to tell you about featured products, the art of calligraphy and hand lettering, behind the scenes business madness mayhem stuff, neat supplies I love to use, and maybe I’ll even be lucky enough to have some amazing visitors swing by down the line to strut their stuff. (*clears throat* Heeeeeyyyyy certain amazing calligraphers I stalk follow all over the ‘Gram, that’s right, I’ve got my eye on yoooouuuuu!)

If you’re a shopper who likes to browse, please check out my main shop page to see what kind of hand lettered and painted goodies I offer, but I’ll give you a quick tour here by sharing a few of my favorites with you. First, take a peek at my “Eats” hand lettered wood sign, whichseems perfect for a comfy, warm kitchen; or visit this stylish peacock green “Cherish” tea towel, which I designed to match another wood sign (I’m big into matching); and since hand lettering and watercolor are my two biggest art forms, don’t miss one of my very first hand lettered designs reproduced in archival quality print form titled, “It’s Not What You Got Done, But That You Got Things Done.” (Which, by the way, is a mantra I try to remind myself pretty much every stinkin’ day…)
